Paper + Error: The current plot is too large and does not fit in the memory.
If the plot is a raster plot, try sending it with no negative motion RTL command. If it is a vector plot, try using a driver that performs all of the rasterisation of the plot in the host computer before sending it to the plotter. If the problem persists contact a Service Engineer.

Contact a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 2, 3 & 8 On
Paper + Cartridges + Error + Film: Electrical error.
Could be caused by a badly seated cartridge - check cartridges and if problem persists - Requires a Service engineer to investigate further.
* LEDs 1, 2,3, 4 & 5 On
Paper + Cartridges + Error + Film + Fast: Cartridge-alignment firmware error. Try one or more of the following:
Turn the plotter OFF and then ON again to see if the problem disappears. Make sure that the cartridges are properly seated. Replace cartridges.
If problem remains then you need to contact a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3 & 5 On
Paper + Error + Fast: Error detected in EEROM.
Possible cause - Power failure during test. Requires a Service engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3 & 6 On
Paper + Error + Load Media: Servo error in the X-axis (media axis).
Try the following:
Clear any binding due to media jam. (Caution : Do not pull Media along the carriage Axis - You could break the Media Sensor flags)
If problem continues contact Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3 & 9 On
Paper + Error + Ready: RS-232-C data overflow. Data byte was not read before another was entered into the UART.
Possible causes are:
Incorrect configuration in communications speed/protocol/ Incorrect communications cable/Error in Host computer/ faulty Electronics module. - contact Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3, 4 & 5 On
Paper + Error + Film + Fast: Not enough memory for the sensor data structure.
Turn the plotter OFF and then ON again to see if the problem disappears. If problem remains then you need to contact a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3, 4 & 6 On
Paper + Error + Film + Load Media: Problems in the free movement of the carriage.
Problem could be caused by excessive friction in the Y-axis or the carriage touches the bail as it moves. This requires a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3, 4 & 9 On
Paper + Error + Film + Ready: Failure of centronics READ.
Firmware error or faulty Electronics module, requires a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3, 4, 5 & 6 On
Paper + Error + Film + Fast + Load Media: Error in the bail-lift mechanism. The bail-lift system is unable to raise or lower the bail. (It is the carriage that tests to see whether the bail is in the correct position by trying to knock against it.)
Check that the bail-lift system is working correctly. If problem persists then requires a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 1, 3, 5 & 6 On
Paper + Error + Fast + Load Media: Error in X-axis encoder quadrature (media-axis).
Possible causes: Faulty motor encoder, or motor received electrostatic discharge while operating.
Call service engineer
* LEDs 1, 3, 5 & 7 On
Paper + Error + Fast + Special: Contents of EEROM have been lost.
Requires a Service engineer.
* LEDs 2 & 3 Flashing 4,5,7,8 Can be On or Off
Cartridges + Error - One or more of the cartridges missing or making bad contact
Remove each cartridge. Ensure that the protective tape has been removed and look for dirty contacts or wear. Replace each cartridge and run the "Black Cartridge alignment""procedure - See Users guide Chapter 1 - If the problem continues call service engineer
* LEDs 2 & 9 Flashing, 1,4,5,7,8 Can be On or Off
Cartridge + Ready: The plotter is testing and servicing the cartridges.
Wait
* LEDs 2, 3 & 4 On
Cartridges + Error + Film: Firmware Error.
Turn the plotter OFF and then ON again to see if the problem disappears. If problem remains then you need to contact a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 2, 3 & 7 On
Cartridges + Error + Special: Old Version of firmware.
Need to contact a Service engineer.
* LEDs 3 & 4 On
Error + Film : From firmware revision A.01.04 onwards, this combination of LEDs indicates an error in the EEROM.
Possible cause Power failure during test.- Requires a Service engineer.
* LEDs 3 & 6 Flashing, 1,4,5,7,8 Can be On or Off
Error + Load Media: Media load error try the following.
Check that the media is aligned and that the correct media size is loaded. Try to load it again. If you load the media using too much force you may put too large a buckle in the media. The roller is then unable to grasp and feed the media correctly and mis-aligns it. Ensure that you load the media such that it only has a slight buckle in it.
If problem continues, an Engineer is required
* LEDs 3 & 8 On
Error + Normal: Not enough memory to allocate internal data structures.
Turn the plotter OFF and then ON again to see if the problem disappears. If problem remains then you need to contact a Service Engineer
* LEDs 3 & 9 Flashing, 1,4,5,7,8 Can be On or Off
There is a problem with the serial interface.
Ensure that the plotters setting for baud rate are the same as those for the host computer. If problem continues, an Engineer is required.
* LEDs 3, 4 & 6 On
Cartridges + Error + Load Media: Servo error in the Y-axis (carriage axis)
Try one or more of the following: Clear any binding due to media jam. Turn the plotter OFF, manually move the carriage along the carriage axis.
If problem remains then need to contact a Service engineer

Error + Film + Ready: Failure of RS-232-C loopback test.
Contact your Service engineer.
* LEDs 3, 4, 5 & 6 On

Possible causes are:
Faulty trailing cable, or motor received electrostatic discharge while operating.
Call service engineer
* LEDs 3, 5 & 6 On
Error + Fast + Load Media: Problems in movement in X-axis (media axis).
Could be something causing too much friction inthe X-axis. Possible paper jam. If after checking for these there is still a problem, contact a Service Engineer.
* LEDs 3, 6 & 8 On
Error + Load Media + Normal: Error in X-axis calibration.
Has media been loaded in the correct orientation? Check cartridges - if problem persists requires a Service Engineer to investigate further.
* No LEDs On
If there is no activity at all from the plotter you may have a power problem.
Check the mains cable and restart the printer: if problem continues an Engineer is required
