HCI queue does not end after 2 seconds.
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

 If the System Error continues, requires, a Service Engineer.

NVM backup: not found, read, write or read back error.
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

● If the System Error continues, requires a Service Engineer.

PrintMech PCA fault or NVM backup failure.
Try the following:

Try the following:

● Make sure that the Service Station path is clear. Remove any visible obstacles (e.g.paper,  screws, plastic parts, etc...) restricting the movement of the Service Station.

● Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

If error continues then requires a Service Engineer.

ISS Left BPS0 error.(Supplies 0, 1, 2) (Module 0 left).
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

ISS Left BPS1 error.(Supplies 3, 4, 5)(Module1 middle right).
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

Requires a Service Engineer if system error code recurs.

Right Ink Supply Station error.

  • Try the following: Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord.
  • Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

If this does not resolve the problem - Requires Service Engineer

Ink Setup failure ( Ink Delivery System (IDS) Tubes purge failed).
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

May require a Service Engineer if system error codes reappear

For Designjet Z2100/Z3100/Z3200 refers to old code 1st Ed. April 2007 manual.

Ink Cartridge error (colour = n).  Order of Ink Supplies incorrect. 

Try the following:
● Remove the Ink Supply Cartridges and check that they are the correct ones for this printer and are in the proper order.
● Check that the Printer has the latest firmware. If not call service engineer to update the firmware to the latest version.

An error has occurred in Printhead detection. 
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.
● Remove the Printheads from the Carriage Assembly and reinsert them.
● Replace the Printheads.
Require a Service Engineer if system error recurs.

29.n:YZ

An error has occurred in Printhead detection. 
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.
● Remove the Printheads from the Carriage Assembly and reinsert them.
● Replace the Printheads.

Call service engineer if required.

31:YZ

  • If there is a wrinkled mass of media inside the paper path, lift the Pinch wheels (using Media Lever) and clear the obstruction.

Try the following:

  • Check for any visable obstacles restricting movement of Carriage Assembly. Remove any obstacle to let the carriage move freely along the whole scan-axis. If there is a wrinkled mass of paper inside the paper path, raise the pinch wheels (using the Media Lever) and clear the obstruction.  
  • Reconnect and power on the unit
  • If problem persists - Requires a Service Engineer

Electrical fault or current limit in Scan-Axis Motor.
Try the following:
● Switch the Power OFF from the back of the Printer and disconnect the Power cord. Reconnect the power cord and power ON the Printer.

May require a Service Engineer if system error code recurs.

  • Check that the Starwheel Assembly cable is not damaged and is correctly connected to Main PCA.

  • Try to upload the paper profile update file again. make sure the version of the paper profile update file is compatible with the Firmware version the product is using. You can check this on the same Web Page from where you downloaded the paper profile update.
  • A service engineer should not be required unless the error code recurs.
