Switch the printer OFF and then ON again and see if the error remains. If the error appears continuously - Contact a Service Engineer.

Cartridge Alignment Error.
Possible causes: Faulty cartriges, Dirty or Incorrect media - If after eliminating the cartridges and the media the problem is still apparent then contact your Service Engineer.
ALIGN MEDIA + LOAD MEDIA + DATA lights ON
Error reading Centronics I/O.
Problem relates to Centronics Communications. Probably due to a faulty cable or connector. If after checking these - problem continues, contact a Service Engineer.
ALIGN MEDIA + MEDIA lights ON
Y-axis shutdown.
Problem with the Cutter assembly or binding due to a media jam. Turn the printer OFF. Manually move the carriage along the carriage axis. Check any areas where the carriage is binding. If this does not resolve the problem, contact your Service Engineer.
ALIGN MEDIA light FLASHING (User Message)
You are loading media and need to realign it, even if it seems perfectly aligned.
Lower the media lever, realign and raise the media lever.
All lights off. (User message)
If no lights are on this could indicate that you have a power problem or the printer may be switched off.
Check the power to the printer and that the unit is switched on. If problem persists may Require a Service Engineer.
Cartridges + Data + Media indicators ON.
This indicates an error which the user could possibly solve, like a paper jam, minor cartridge problem etc. In order to get more details on the error, the CANCEL key must be pressed this will display a subcode.
Contact your Service Engineer for further advice to progress this condition
CARTRIDGES + DATA + MEDIA lights FLASHING
This error code indicates a severe problem which will require a Service Engineer In order to get more details on the error, the CANCEL key must be pressed this will display a subcode.
Make a note of any subcodes displayed and inform the Service Engineer when you make contact..
CARTRIDGES light FLASHING (User Message)
Either one of the ink cartridges is faulty, misplaced or missing.
Reseat or replace the cartridge.
Or, you have inserted a print cartridge of the wrong type for the printer.
Insert the correct cartridge.
DATA light FLASHING (User Message)
The current print is too large for the printers memory.
Look on your computer screen for any error messages. You may need to get more memory installed in the printer Or you may have a problem with the serial interface. You may require a Service Engineer to rectify the problem.
LOAD MEDIA + CARTRIDGES + DATA lights ON
Problems when initialising the carriage.
Contact a Service engineer.
LOAD MEDIA + CARTRIDGES lights ON
Electronics Module Failure.
Requires a Service Engineer to resolve.
LOAD MEDIA + DATA lights ON
Firmware has a problem interacting with some of the characteristics of the print.
The printer is using an old Firmware revision. This will require further investigation and possible upgrade by a Service Engineer.

The printer has a file in memory, which is waiting to print but no media is loaded.
Load media.
LOAD MEDIA light ON (User Message)
The printer is ready but you need to load media.
When you are ready to print load media.
MEDIA light FLASHING ( User Message)
Either the media loaded is misaligned. Or it is of an invalid size. Or, The media lever is lowered. Or the cover is open when the printer is initialising.
All of these problems can be rectified by the user. If the problem continues then it may need a Service Engineer.
READY + ALIGN MEDIA + MEDIA lights ON
Y-axis movement error.
Possible causes: Something is causing excessive friction in the Y-axis (carriage axis) or the carriage touches the bail as it moves. If unable too rectify the problem contact a Service engineer.
READY + CARTRIDGES + DATA lights ON
Mark encoder not detected.
This error relates to a number of possible faults - contact a Service engineer.
READY + CARTRIDGES lghts ON
The RAM SIMM test failed.
Possible causes - the RAM SIMM installed is not compatable with the printer. Or The RAM SIMM is badly installed. or RAM SIMM is faulty or Faulty electronics module.
Requires a Service Engineer.
READY + DATA lights ON
Cartridge Continuity Test Failure.
Cartridge faulty or badly seated. Try reseating the cartridge or replacing it. - Faulty or badly connected trailing cable, - Dirty carriage flex circuit, - Faulty carriage or Faulty electronics module. These problems will require a Service Engineer.
READY + LOAD MEDIA + DATA lights ON
There is a communication problem between the Main PCA and the internal microprocessors.

If combined with one of the four type group lights flashing The printer is waiting for the media to dry. This can be terminated by pressing FORM FEED.
READY light OFF. (User Message)
The printer is not ready to print.
Check the status of the other lights and make a note before calling your servuice engineer for further advice
READY light ON (User Message)
The printer is ready to print.
Send your print from your computer, if there is no response check that the interface cable is connected.
READY+ ALIGN MEDIA + DATA lights ON
Communication problem with RS-232-C (Serial Port).
Possible causes Incorrect configuration in the communications speed/protocol, or faulty communications cable or Error in host computer. If unable to resolve the issue then may need a Service Engineer.

Memory or Accuracy Calibration Problems.
Possible causes not enough memory for the current plot. May require extra memory. Alternatively there may be faults which need a service Engineer.
